I’m going into the third round of interviews for a director position. I’m a bit anxious because this is a mid-large marketing firm that helps business with all aspects of their marketing. It’s quite a step up on a scale perspective for me.
I have experience for 8 years at a small business as a manager (and being hands on my self). I’ve literally had to become proficient at everything from logo design to packaging to paid media to SEO to web design and funnel optimization… so I know I have the skills to manage the different departments.
I honestly don’t have any idea how to start other than figure out and adapt to the daily operations and routines and figure out how to improve the programs platforms and workflow of the different departments. I’m curious if there there is something other directors out there that works for them managing departments of marketing
